What is a sound bAth?

A sound bath is a deeply restful experience where you lie or sit and let calming tones wash over you. The sounds and vibrations help your nervous system shift out of stress mode and into a more settled state, so your body can relax, your thoughts slow down, and you can actually feel yourself land.

A sound bath isn’t a performance; it’s an immersive sound experience. The tones aren’t just heard; they’re felt. Many people notice their breathing deepen, their muscles soften, and their mind becomes less busy as the vibrations create a sense of steady, calming rhythm in the body.

Benefits of Sound Baths

People often book a sound bath when they’re feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated, stuck in anxious overthinking, emotionally heavy, or “wired but tired.” It can also be supportive if you feel disconnected from your body or you need a reset that doesn’t require more effort.

People commonly leave feeling:

  • Improved mood and steadier energy

  • Less mental noise

  • More emotional spaciousness

  • Grounded and “back in their body”

Sound baths can support:

  • Relaxation and reduced muscle tension

  • Slower breathing and lower stress activation

  • Improved sleep quality

  • Relief from stress-related tightness

  • A sense of physical ease or pleasant heaviness

Note: Sound baths are not a medical treatment and do not replace healthcare. They can be a helpful complementary practice for stress management and nervous system regulation.

  • Yes. You’ll join on video (or audio-only if you prefer), get comfortable in your space, and I’ll guide you into relaxation while playing the sound. Many clients still experience deep calm and grounding virtually.

  • A quiet, comfortable space where you can lie down or sit back. I recommend using speakers (instead of headphones) so the sound feels more spacious in your body. Have a blanket, pillow, water, and an optional eye mask nearby.

  • Speakers are recommended. Start at a low-to-medium volume, then adjust as needed. Crystal bowls and similar instruments can sound louder or sharper depending on your device. You want the sound to feel soothing, not startling, so feel free to lower the volume at any point.

  • Many people use sound baths to support stress relief, nervous system regulation, and improved sleep especially when stress or overwhelm is the main driver.

  • That can happen. Emotions sometimes release when the body relaxes. You’re welcome to pause, sit up, or keep going, your comfort leads.
